Among
the most important goals for The Research Center for Aquatic Ecosystems is
the implementation of sustainable development of aquaculture in Nicaragua.
This has allowed us to develop and allocate good amount of our effort to
invest in research for the different fields of aquaculture.
The
scientific research conducted and all new technology try outs haven been
previously identified according to the main and most important needs of the
coastal zone of the Estero Real westershed dedicated to aquaculture and
other fisheries activities. Based on these diagnoses, is that priorities
and work plans for the research have been established. Among these one can
find the monitoring of the water quality of the Estero Real, new lines and
technology of shrimp farming and the evaluation process for the
diversification of the fisheries in the area.
